2 <br /> RES-2022-055 Attachment 1 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> 2020 Eno Haw Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan Amendment <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County is vulnerable to an array of natural hazards that can cause loss of <br /> life and damage to public and private property; and <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County desires to seek ways to mitigation situations that may aggravate such <br /> circumstances; and <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County has identified point repairs to the Lake Orange spillway as additional <br /> infrastructure to limit the impacts of natural hazards to our community; and <br /> WHEREAS, we, the Orange County Board of Commissioners, formally adopted the Eno Haw <br /> Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan in 2020; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orange County Board of Commissioners: <br /> 1. Adopts Amendment One, Attachment A, to the Eno Haw Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan; <br /> 2. Agrees to take such other official action as may be reasonably required to carry out the <br /> proposed project to the extent that such are eligible under the Federal Emergency <br /> Management Agency's Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant program; and <br /> 3. Agrees to incorporate the salient points of this amendment into the next update of the <br /> Orange County Annex M to the Eno Haw Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Orange County Board of Commissioners that this resolution <br /> shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. <br /> Approved this 18th Day of October, 2022. <br /> Renee Price, Chair <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />
