Location Description Ackland F.A.M. activ ities take place at the Ackland Art Museum on <br />the edge of UNC-Chapel Hill’s campus near the center of downtown <br />Chapel Hill. The artist workshops/demonstrations would take place in <br />the Museum, on the Museum’s Terrace, or in the Museum’s <br />courtyard. The F.A.M. Cart would be located in the Museum galleries <br />during all open hours. The materials on the cart would be a mix of in- <br />Museum and take-home supplies. The Family Activ ity Kits are <br />designed to be used in the Museum galleries OR taken away to <br />families’ homes. The scav enger hunts are designed to be used at the <br />Museum, as are the drawing and writing supplies av ailable on the <br />F.A.M. Cart. <br />The Museum is accessible to v isitors with mobility disabilities, <br />adhering to all ADA requirements, as is the Museum’s Terrace gallery <br />outdoors. W e also offer campstools to v isitors to sit as needed <br />throughout the galleries. For programs with speakers, like these <br />F.A.M. ev ents with guest artists, the Museum has assistiv e listening <br />dev ices for hearing impaired v isitors.
