He said they give funds to the towns. He said that they provided two years' <br /> 6 worth of money to Hillsborough, and they made ADA sidewalk improvements at Colonial Inn <br /> 7 and that Carrboro uses it for the Music Festival. He said that it will be expanded in future years <br /> 8 for broader outreach. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Richards, to <br /> 11 approve and authorize the Chair to sign the Resolution reaffirming Orange County's <br /> 12 commitment to economic development and public-school capital needs for a period of ten <br /> 13 additional years. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Commissioner Bedford said this revenue source is in addition to the Board's target <br /> 16 funding percentage for schools. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Commissioner McKee said he appreciates the Board making this decision. He said <br /> 21 without this division, there would be no money going towards economic development. He said it <br /> 22 took a lot of faith from Morinaga to come to Orange County and changed the future. He said this <br /> 23 commitment will make great improvements to the future. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 c.
