Orange County Transportation Services —ADA Paratransit Plan <br /> 44 The Board held a public hearing and considered adopting a resolution approving the Orange <br /> 45 County Transportation Services (OCTS) American Disabilities Act (ADA) Paratransit Plan. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 BACKGROUND: Recent changes to the ADA Title II requires public transit agencies to extend <br /> 48 complementary ADA-accessible transit service to eligible persons within %-mile of any fixed <br /> 49 route service. In order to demonstrate compliance with this requirement, each system providing <br /> 50 fixed-route service is required to adopt an ADA Paratransit Plan detailing all transit services as <br /> 51 well as the eligibility certification process. <br />
