Article 6: Development StandqVI <br /> Section 6.15:Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Contro1268F <br /> On-site areas which are subject to severe erosion, and off-site areas which are <br /> especially vulnerable to damage from erosion and/or sedimentation, are to be <br /> identified and receive special attention, and appropriate Mitigative mitigation295 <br /> measures are to be taken to protect those areas. <br /> (2) Plan for Erosion Control <br /> (a) Design the development and prepare the site plan so that the necessary <br /> sediment-trapping devices and erosion control measures can be <br /> accommodated and are accessible for maintenance and removal. <br /> (b) Observe the requirements and standards in <br /> EMSinn @Ad SQdiAY(;nt (`nntrnl Wn11@1 apd tho North QQMlino Grncinn <br /> QAd SPdimont r'nntrnl Dl@.nninn @Ad Desinnthe most current version of <br /> North Carolina Administrative Code Title 15A Chapter 4: Sedimentation <br /> Control, and the most current version of the296 NC Erosion Control <br /> Manual. <br /> (3) Limit Exposed Areas <br /> All land-disturbing activities are to be planned and conducted to minimize the <br /> size of the area to be exposed at any one time. <br /> (4) Limit Time of Exposure <br /> All land-disturbing activities are to be planned and conducted to limit exposure to <br /> the shortest feasible tim(;time specified in North Carolina General Statute 113A- <br /> 57 the most current version of North Carolina Administrative Code Title 15A <br /> Chapter 4: Sedimentation Control, or as directed by the Erosion Control <br /> Officer.-297 <br /> (5) Control Upgrade 298 Stormwater Runoff299 <br /> Surfac,e %vate-FStormwater runoff originating upgrade of exposed areas should be <br /> controlled to reduce erosion and sediment loss during the period of exposure. <br /> (6) Control Sedimentation <br /> All land-disturbing activities are to be planned and conducted so as to prevent <br /> off-site sedimentation damage. <br /> (7) Manage On-Site300 Stormwater Runoff <br /> The Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan shall <br /> be designed so that any increase in velocity and/or volume of stormwater runoff <br /> resulting from a Land-Disturbing Activity will not result in accelerated erosion of <br /> the receiving stormwater conveyance or at the point of discharge.
