Request Summary The Art Therapy Institute (ATI) is requesting rent support from the <br />Orange County Arts Commission. Currently ATI has three offices: <br />Two offices, located at Carr Mill Mall in Carrboro and the Eno Arts Mill <br />in Hillsborough, are used for clinical work. In these offices, ATI <br />therapists see indiv idual clients and run groups. ATI also uses the <br />Carr Mill Space to prov ide clinical superv ision to staff and interns, <br />and to host monthly, community-wide art exhibits featuring our <br />clients and area artists. Additionally, the Carr Mill Office is where all of <br />the organization's confidential clinical files are safely stored. <br />The third office space, also in Carrboro, is located at YouthW orx, a <br />youth-serv ing nonprofit collaborativ e powered by CommunityW orx <br />and Youth Forward, which builds capacity for Triangle organizations <br />through collaboration. At Youthworx, ATI shares office space with <br />one other nonprofit, Refugee Community Partnership. This office <br />space is used for administrativ e work and for staff meetings which <br />do not inv olv e discussions with confidential content. <br />Combined, the rent on these three spaces is $2073.00 per month. <br />Any grant money receiv ed from the Orange County Arts Commission <br />will be used to support rent on our two Carrboro offices. <br />Organizational Goals ATI organizational goals include the following: <br />1) to prov ide clinical art therapy serv ices to div erse populations at no <br />or low cost; <br />2) to prov ide training to the general public about the benefits of arts- <br />based therapy; <br />3) to superv ise students and new clinicians entering the field; <br />4) to conduct ethical and culturally-congruent research practices; <br />5) to adv ocate for the arts, mental health, and art therapy within North <br />Carolina and beyond; <br />6) to prov ide opportunities for div erse community members to <br />display and v iew artwork at free, community-wide art shows; and <br />7) to build bridges between div erse communities through the healing <br />power of the arts. <br />Financial support towards rent will allow the Art Therapy Institute to <br />allocate more money to the programs serv ing the community, <br />helping ATI to reach goals and expand its reach. <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 40D2FB7D-C998-4FDC-9F70-09BAD1598B33
