She also said she has been doing facilitation for a long time. In <br /> addition to the opportunities through the School of Government for commissioners, she shared <br /> that there are also professional opportunities for staff in county government. <br /> Today We Intend to; <br /> A_ To strengthen relationships and begin building a high performing board <br /> by considering what elements would help this board perform at their <br /> best- <br /> Develop a set of operating principles and behavioral changes that help <br /> guide how the council wants to work together and with senior staff <br /> {see handout}[Deliverable] <br /> 8. [Deliverable] <br /> U <br /> Lydian Altman said that these were the three big topics for today's retreat, but they <br /> would be addressed in a different order. She said the primary goal is to discuss strengthening <br /> relationships. She said when the retreat planning first began, the Board was not meeting in <br /> person and the planning committee wanted to discuss how the Board can operate better <br /> together, become a high-performing Board, and govern the most efficiently and effectively. <br /> Lydian Altman said the intention behind the Article 46 proceeds discussion is not to get <br /> down into the details as much as what are the criteria if the Board would like to make changes. <br />
