Davis Center in Hillsborough, NC. <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Renee Price, Vice Chair Jamezetta Bedford, <br /> and Commissioners Amy Fowler, Sally Greene, Jean Hamilton, Earl McKee (attended <br /> virtually), and Anna Richards <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: None. <br /> COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts <br /> COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Bonnie Hammersley, Deputy County Manager <br /> Travis Myren, and Deputy Clerk to the Board Tara May. (All other staff members will be <br /> identified appropriately below) <br /> FACILITATOR: Lydian Altman, UNC School of Government <br /> Chair Price called the meeting to order at 9:05 am. <br /> Commissioner McKee was present via Zoom. <br /> Welcome <br /> Chair Price welcomed the attendees and thanked the planning committee and <br /> department staff for their work in making the retreat possible. She thanked the facilitator Lydian <br /> Altman for being present and spoke about the opportunities available through the UNC School <br /> of Government for commissioners. <br /> Lydian Altman thanked Chair Price for speaking about the school of government and <br /> agreed there are many opportunities for Commissioners to learn more, including virtual options. <br /> She said she is glad to be present after the retreat was initially delayed. <br /> Overview and Discussion Guidelines <br /> Lydian Altman reviewed the following PowerPoint slides: <br /> Orange County Board . <br /> Commissioners Retreat <br /> 9:00 am to 4:00 pm <br /> QV 1 V C I Cen H.r Yu6k Lead—hip and Governance <br /> Lydian Altman said she prepared slides to help guide the Board's discussion. She <br /> reviewed several flip chart sheets with various headers to hold the Board's thoughts and ideas <br /> from the discussion, and said she will be keeping thematic notes as well. <br />
