For each multicultural <br />artist you intend to <br />hire, please list their <br />name, race, and how <br />much you plan to pay <br />them. <br />Of our teaching artists who will be prov iding our program there, Tiana <br />Sutton is African American and will be paid $3,000. Marlon Torres is <br />Hispanic and will be paid $2,000. Doug Largent is the musician and is <br />white and will be paid $2,542. Suzi Landis is Artistic Director and is <br />white and will be paid $2,000. <br />How will the <br />project/program be <br />publicized and <br />promoted to reach <br />intended <br />participants? <br />This program is offered to the entire fourth grade class at Rashkis <br />Elementary School, during the school day. Therefore publicity to <br />ensure participation is not needed. Howev er, since the program is <br />partly funded by indiv idual donors, businesses and foundations, NC <br />Arts in Action uses a combination of social media tools, including our <br />webpage, Facebook, Constant Contact and Twitter, to promote our <br />performances. W e also work with a v ideo production company, <br />Centerline Digital, to help us promote our work throughout the <br />community. NC AIA utilizes sev eral social media tools, including our <br />webpage, Facebook, Constant Contact and Twitter, to promote our <br />programs and all performances. A media company, Centerline Digital, <br />produces v ideos for targeted audiences to help us promote our work <br />throughout the community, and undertakes v ideo captures to help <br />us with our gala fundraising. In addition, we produce a printed annual <br />report, print newsletters, and a monthly electronic newsletter, to <br />market NC Arts in Action throughout the Triangle and region. <br />How will you <br />evaluate the success <br />of the program? <br />NC Arts in Action draws from ev aluations, direct quotes from <br />students, parents, teachers and administrators to see if the intended <br />targets hav e been met. NC Arts in Action utilizes The Link Group in <br />RTP which has dev eloped child-friendly assessment tools. The Link <br />Group also shares this info with the W CPSS internal ev aluation and <br />research staff for further input and refinement. Gathering good data <br />is a critical goal for NC Arts in Action. In addition, the Arts in Action <br />program success will be measured through a combination of data <br />related to: Number of students participating in the program; Increase <br />in pre-NC Arts in Action and post-NC Arts in Action academic <br />achiev ement and measurable improv ed classroom behav iors; <br />Qualitativ e data from classroom teachers on indiv idual student <br />improv ement and self-assessment; Continuity of the program; <br />Increase in donors and supporters from the community; and v irtual <br />school attendance by students on NC Arts in Action days. <br />NC Arts in Action is grateful for your consideration of this $3,000 <br />request to help support Rashkis in offering this transformativ e <br />program. NC Arts in Action reaches hundreds of public school <br />students with an internationally acclaimed curriculum and teaching <br />methodology that truly changes liv es.
