PhotoShelter Security and Proprietary Data Statement

For over 16 years, PhotoShelter’s underlying storage technology for marketing/creative teams and
photographers has provided 100% data durability for the billions of images, videos, and creative
objects we store. PhotoShelter’s visual media technology specializes in content workflow solutions
for businesses and photographers. We do this through two software services and a proprietary
cloud platform built for the unique needs of creative organizations and image-makers.

PhotoShelter provides the only solution in the market that is built and optimized to serve both
professional photographs and brand marketing teams on one underlying technology infrastructure.
The system is unique in the marketplace as an owned and operated private cloud that is available
only to the customers it serves and fully independently of any commercial cloud platform. The
durability of our system is unparalleled by commercial public clouds, including Amazon S3 and
Google Cloud.

PhotoShelter protects your data against loss through several important methods:

• PhotoShelter maintains 4 copies of all uploaded data across at least 2 geographically
distributed SOC2-audited datacenters.
• SHA256 checksums are calculated for your data before it is written to our distributed storage
system.
• Checksums are verified for every read and write of data stored in our system. Checksum
failures are automatically corrected by fetching known good copies.
• Checksums are regularly scrubbed — at least once a month all content is checked to make
sure that the on-disk content matches the original checksum.
• In addition to these protections, an automated disaster recovery is run every week that
simulates the loss of a full datacenter.

Beyond these automated systems, PhotoShelter conducts a full annual audit of our Disaster
Recovery Plan that includes:
• Failure of each of our primary datacenters,
• Incapacitation of our development/testing environment,
• Full loss of our HQ office, and
• Loss of our Critical Vendors.

Our most recent external audit was conducted by The Clover Group in March 2022, and we were
able to show our Disaster Recovery plans functioning for each of the major failures noted above.
The audit also verified our communication strategy both internally and externally in the case of said
failure. No critical processes or controls have been changed since this last audit.

Jeffrey Arnold
Co-founder/VP of Network Operations
PhotoShelter, Inc.

111 Broadway, 19th Floor, New York, NY 10006
DocuSign Envelope ID: CD0FD970-80CE-4AFC-8C81-687F53A99423
