In my work, I tend to use nature and the <br />env ironment to show div ersity and inclusion through the <br />cohesiv eness of plants and animals in our surroundings. Currently <br />on display are two large paintings by local PIPOC artist, Ajani <br />Anderson, that depict the African-American diaspora. I plan to <br />incorporate these works into the mural and help elev ate and bring <br />attention to her work. The mural will be on the large main wall of the <br />interior of Present Day. To me and ev eryone at Present Day on Main, <br />there is always a need for art. Art is what brings the community <br />together, it helps start conv ersations and connection among <br />indiv iduals. <br />If approv ed, my timeline will be as following: <br />August 1st: Prep space (clean wall, tape and lay down drop cloth) <br />August 2nd: Project mural onto the wall and trace. ( If I don't hav e <br />access to a project I will use the traditional grid system) <br />August 3rd -11th: Paint <br />August 12-13th: Clean up space and clear coat <br />The mural will be painting by myself and sister, Mesa Piv irotto.
