11 <br /> Introduction <br /> The Orange County Department on Aging -� <br /> (OCDOA) created its first five-year Master Aging <br /> Plan (MAP) in 2000. The current 2022-27 MAP , <br /> is the fifth round of comprehensive planning <br /> for Orange County's growing older population. <br /> It is designed with a continued value on strong ■■�'I <br /> community member and stakeholder involvement _ <br /> in its development. R` <br /> This plan is the first to include racial equity as <br /> a cross-cutting theme incorporating the other <br /> county initiatives, such as One Orange and the <br /> Government Alliance for Race and Equity. This <br /> focus on racial equity provides an intentionally <br /> and builds off of important discussions both The 2022-27 MAP focuses mainly on older <br /> locally and nationally to identify and explore how adults,who are defined in this MAP as <br /> race impacts the aging experience.
