In the years since 1988, the numbers have steadily grown, as more <br /> emphasis was placed on year round programming and new events added. Each of the 150 <br /> plus participants benefit greatly from participation in the games. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with approving the proclamation. <br /> Funding for programming and designated Department on Aging and Recreation and Parks <br /> Department staff who work with this program is already included in budgets for those <br /> departments. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board of County <br /> Commissioners proclaim and declare April 8 through May 7, 2002 as Orange County Senior <br /> Games Events Days and authorize the Chair to sign the proclamation. <br />
