Eric Allen — meeting with architect about CHCCS <br /> facility study today and should have an estimated <br /> timeline <br /> 1. At a point where need to replace major systems, <br /> which will be a bandaid, when go in should <br /> replace full systems to make best investment <br /> xi. Patrick Abele — OCS would need to put out an RFP for <br /> facility study—will take 6-8 months <br /> 1. Can easily do years 1-5 now and 3rd week of <br /> January is ok for CIP submissions <br /> 2. Echoed Eric's comments — we need to do a <br /> better job communicating all of that to public <br /> and officials <br /> xii. Bonnie Hauser — Guilford's CIP increased in cost <br /> because focused on school modernization <br /> 1. Can we contract out maintenance so it's off of <br /> our financial books? <br /> xiii. Renee Price — have some unsafe campuses — especially <br /> elementary schools <br /> 1. "open" and need to be more safe <br /> 2. Keep seeing school shootings and need to <br /> secure our campuses <br /> 3. Would like to see maintenance need list even if <br /> don't know when or how much can plan better <br /> a. Eric Allen mentioned a roof <br /> management plan would help with that— <br /> are doing that now with consultants on <br /> facility maintenance plan <br />
