He said he <br /> will continue to report if there are any bills passed with local impacts over the summer. <br /> 11. *Appointments <br /> Added at the beginning of the meeting <br /> The Board considered designating a member of the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Board <br /> as Chair. <br /> BACKGROUND: Pursuant to G.S. 1813-700, the Board of Commissioners shall designate a <br /> member of the local ABC Board to serve as Chair. She said the Board is bound by state law <br /> to appoint an ABC Board member to serve as Chair, and that person then appoints the Vice- <br /> Chair. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Fowler, seconded by Commissioner McKee to <br /> designate Patrick Burns as Chair of the ABC Board. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />
