(250 words or less) <br />The CEF Advocate Program provides one-on-one assistance to help Orange <br />County residents who are homeless or experiencing housing insecurity to gain <br />employment, secure housing, build financial savings, and access community <br />resources. The program aligns with Orange County’s first goal of ensuring “a <br />community network of basic human services and infrastructure” and with Chapel Hill <br />and Carrboro’s second strategic objective of increasing “livelihoods security” by helping <br />residents access safety net services (2.1) and increase job skills (2.2). The target <br />population is Orange County residents who are low-income (below 80% AMI) and <br />experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, or financial insecurity. <br />8.
