Box 766 <br /> Graham, NC 27253 <br /> RE: name for portion of road to be accepted by NCDOT <br /> Dear Chuck, <br /> The town has named the portion of roadway highlighted on the map below as Claytor Drive. <br /> It is my understanding the NCDOT is considering accepting this segment along with accepting Saponi <br /> Drive. Both of these areas are outside the Hillsborough city limits, but in our extraterritorial planning <br /> jurisdiction. <br /> While early recorded maps of the area indicate this segment would be called Tuscarora Drive with <br /> Hiawatha Drive creating a t-intersection,the name Tuscarora was applied to the Hiawatha portion many <br /> decades ago. Further development in the area has provided the opportunity to name this portion <br /> Claytor Drive, as an extension from a nearby subdivision in the city limits. <br /> A sign will be placed at the intersection on or about June 1. <br /> Y <br /> 4 <br /> I0I E.
