5 <br /> amendment, affecting the same property or portion thereof, may be submitted for a period of <br /> one year. The one year period begins on the date of denial or withdrawal. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: This request has been reviewed by various County departments who <br /> have determined that the approval of the request would not create the need for additional <br /> funding for the provision of County services. Costs associated with advertising, including the <br /> public hearing notice and mailings, are covered by the application fee. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is applicable to <br /> this item: <br /> • GOAL: ESTABLISH SUSTAINABLE AND EQUITABLE LAND-USE AND <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of people of all races, cultures, incomes <br /> and educational levels with respect to the development and enforcement of <br /> environmental laws, regulations, policies, and decisions. Fair treatment means that no <br /> group of people should bear a disproportionate share of the negative environmental <br /> consequences resulting from industrial, governmental and commercial operations or <br /> policies. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impact associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board: <br /> 1. Conduct the public hearing and accept the Planning Board/staff recommendations and <br /> public comment; <br /> 2. Close the public hearing; <br /> 3. Deliberate as desired; and <br /> 4. Vote to approve the Statement of Consistency (Attachment 5) and Ordinance Amending <br /> the Zoning Atlas (Attachment 6) to allow the rezoning request, as presented. <br /> OR <br /> Vote to deny the rezoning request, due to a stated reason that the request is <br /> inconsistent with the goals and objectives of the Orange County Comprehensive Plan <br /> and/or a not in harmony with the surrounding area. <br />
