RES - 202M31 Attachment 4 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING <br /> THE ORANGE COUNTY FY 2022 -2023 HOME PROGRAM DESIGN <br /> BE IT RESOLVED , by the Orange County Board of Commissioners , as a member of the <br /> Orange County HOME Consortium, that the Commissioners approve the following activities for <br /> the FY 2022 -2023 HOME Program . <br /> Homebuyer Assistance <br /> Funds will be allocated to the Community Empowerment Fund ($ 90 , 000 ) and Orange County <br /> Habitat for Humanity ($ 167 , 241 ) to provide down payment assistance for home ownership for an <br /> estimated 26 households earning between thirty percent (30 %) and eighty percent ( 80 %) of the <br /> area median income . (The final number of homebuyers assisted may be more or less than 26 and <br /> will depend on homebuyer underwriting . ) <br /> (Requested amount: $ 525, 000) $ 257 *241 <br /> Housing Rehabilitation/Preservation <br /> Funds will be allocated to Rebuilding Together of the Triangle to purchase replacement <br /> manufactured homes for (2) two Orange County property owners who are currently living in <br /> hazardous conditions due to deteriorating manufactured housing units . This funding will serve 1 <br /> household earning between thirty percent (30 %) and fifty percent ( 50 %) of the area median <br /> income , and 1 household earning between fifty percent (50 %) and eighty percent ( 80 %) of the <br /> area median income . <br /> (Requested amount: $ I50) 000) $ 1509000 <br /> Rental Acquisition <br /> Funds will be allocated to EmPOWERment, Inc . for acquisition of one ( 1 ) rental unit in <br /> Carrboro . Units will be leased to households earning less than sixty percent (60 %) of the area <br /> median income . <br /> (Requested amount: $ 105, 000) $ 1059000 <br /> Program Administration $ 449350 <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that the County Manager is hereby designated as the <br /> authorized representative of the County to act in connection with the HOME Program and to <br /> provide such additional information as may be required by the U . S .
