The Department on Aging has received the following additional funds : <br /> • Supplemental Nutrition - Additional Supplemental Nutrition funding of $ 57 , 265 <br /> from North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to meet <br /> additional need for food and supplies for the Lunch Program . This program <br /> provides food to families in need in the community impacted by COVID - 19 and <br /> job loss . This amendment increases the COVID - 19 Expanded Lunch program <br /> budget by $ 57 , 2652 <br /> • State Appropriation for Senior Centers - State grant funding through Triangle <br /> J Area Agency of $ 21 , 386 to support Senior Center activities .
