Department on Aging 7 . The Department on Aging has received the following additional funds : • Supplemental Nutrition - Additional Supplemental Nutrition funding of $ 57 , 265 from North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to meet additional need for food and supplies for the Lunch Program . This program provides food to families in need in the community impacted by COVID - 19 and job loss . This amendment increases the COVID - 19 Expanded Lunch program budget by $ 57 , 2652 • State Appropriation for Senior Centers - State grant funding through Triangle J Area Agency of $ 21 , 386 to support Senior Center activities . The grant period runs through June 30 , 2022 . • Evidence Base Health Promotion and Disease Prevention - Additional Title III D Health Promotion and Disease Prevention ( HPDP ) funding of $ 2 , 220 received from Triangle J Area Agency on Aging to provide evidence - based classes and programs .
