In total, 1,826 individuals engaged with the
museum, which exceeds the original projection of 1,020
guests by 79%.
Projected Results
(Outcome)
Ending FY2022
By the end of FY 21‐22, the permanent gallery will be fully
refreshed and expanded to include a 20th century case. Two
free special exhibits will have been made available to the
public, ‘Date Night: Orange County Fashion, Food, Music &
Fun’, and ‘What’s Your Flavor?!’. In the fall of 2021, a free
program featuring a non‐staff member was presented to the
public related to ‘Date Night’ (‘Date Night’ had 2 other
programs which occurred in FY 20‐21). Additional programs
include Trading Path talks held in late 2021, and various others
planned for early 2022 related to the permanent exhibit.

A family‐centered gallery will be created in early 2022, and will
offer educational displays, handling artifacts, and themed
activities (to be further developed during early FY22‐23 and
beyond, making the Museum the only location in Orange
County to offer permanent history themed learning
opportunities for children). The Chapel Hill Historical Society
will install their first pieces in early 2022.

Per last years application, the projections for engagement for
FY 21‐22 are: on‐site attendance of 500 + ; virtual/in‐person
tours and program attendance of 300+, for a total of at least
1,280 people served. By December of FY 21‐22, we have
already exceeded our on‐site attendance projection, and are
halfway to meeting our program attendance and tour
projection.
Projected Results
(Outcome)
Ending FY2023
Increased community education and engagement about the
history of Orange County measured by individual served by a
10% increase from the number of individuals actually served
during FY 20‐21 (1,828) to 2,010 individuals served during FY
22‐23.
