CHAPEL HILL ORANGE COUNTY VISITORS BUREAU August 12, 2020 <br />308 WEST FRANKLIN, CHAPEL HILL, NC <br /> <br /> <br /> 06100-Carpentry-1 <br /> <br /> <br />06100-00 ROUGH CARPENTRY <br /> <br /> <br />06100-01 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br /> <br /> 1 Drawings and General Provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary <br />Conditions and Division 1 Specifications Sections, apply to work of this section. <br /> <br /> 2 Specified publications refer to the most recent edition. <br /> <br /> <br />06100-02 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> <br /> 1 Furnish and install structural and framing work as indicated on the drawings, schedules <br />and as specified. <br /> <br /> 2 Provide supplementary items, appurtenances and devices incidental to or necessary for a <br />secure, sound and complete installation. <br /> <br /> 3 See Division 7 for insulated sheathing. <br /> <br /> 4 Rough hardware to comply with N.C.State Building Code requirements for fasteners. <br /> <br /> 5 Finish carpentry is specified in Section 06400. <br /> <br /> <br />06100-03 QUALITY_ASSURANCE <br /> <br /> 1 The quality and design of wood members, their sizing and their fastenings are to be <br />governed by Chapter 23, Wood Construction, 2018 Edition of the North Carolina State <br />Building Code, unless otherwise specifically noted in these specifications or on the <br />working drawings. <br /> <br /> 2 Each piece of structural framing lumber and plywood shall bear the grade and trademark <br />of the association under whose rules it was produced and bear a mill identification mark. <br />Comply with PS 20. <br /> <br /> <br />06100-04 PRODUCTS <br /> <br /> 1 Deliver and store materials in dry areas. Protect materials against exposure to weather <br />and contact with damp or wet surfaces.
