Do not proceed with ordering until selection by the <br />Architect has been made. <br /> <br /> 3 Submit 4 copies of the manufacturer's written recommended maintenance instructions. <br /> <br /> <br />09650-05 PRODUCTS <br /> <br /> 1 Luxury Vinyl tile to be delivered in a clearly marked container and to be stored away from <br />heat and water. Damaged tile will not be accepted and should not be incorporated in the <br />work. <br /> <br /> 2 Luxury Vinyl product to be 4" plank style, greater than 34% solid vinyl content. Plank <br />product by Armstrong Commercial Flooring or Mohawk Flooring products. <br /> <br /> 3 Concrete slab primer, where used, to be non-staining type as recommended by flooring <br />manufacturer. <br /> <br /> 4 Leveling compound to be latex type as recommended by flooring manufacturer. <br /> <br /> 5 Rubber base to be 1/8" thick and 4" high as noted in schedule. Rubber base to conform with <br />Federal Specification SS-W-40a, Type I. <br /> <br /> <br />09650-06 EXECUTION <br /> <br /> 1 The Contractor shall verify that all substrate is in acceptable condition prior to installing any <br />resilient flooring. Surface shall be smooth and free from holes, cracks and other <br />irregularities and shall be free of paints and other materials that may affect bonding. <br />Installation assumes responsibility of an acceptable substrate. <br /> <br />2 Slabs must cure for a minimum of one (1) month before resilient flooring work may <br />commence. <br /> <br /> 3 Slabs-on-grade to receive a latex underlayment as recommended by the tile manufacturer. <br /> <br /> 4 Use only the tile adhesive recommended by the tile manufacturer for this specific type of <br />installation. <br /> <br /> 5 Tile to be installed in strict accordance with the recommended installation procedure of the <br />manufacturer. A copy of such procedure to be delivered to the Architect prior to <br />commencing the work. Tile to be set even and true with the walls of each room. Joints to be <br />parallel with or 90o to each enclosing wall. Tile to be laid even with no waves or <br />imperfections; joints must be flat.
