Submission Requirements: <br /> <br />Providers will be required to submit electronic copies of their bids to <br />csandt@orangecountync.gov no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 22, 2022. Providers should <br />enter “1621 Genestu Drive: Bid” as the subject of the email. Orange County will not accept <br />submittals for review that are received after the 5:00 p.m. deadline. It is the responsibility of <br />the Provider to ensure that bids are received by the deadline date and time detailed herein. <br /> <br />Critical updated information may be included in Addenda to this Request for Quotation. All <br />providers shall be deemed to have read and understood all information in this Request for <br />Quotation and all Addenda thereto. <br /> <br />1. BID CONTENTS: <br /> <br />a. One (1) completed and signed property-specific bid using the “Form of <br />Property-Specific Bid” included in this Request for Quotation (Exhibit B) and <br />one (1) property-specific redline drawing that includes a north arrow, a drawing <br />scale, and a clear depiction of the proposed work with horizontal dimensioning <br />and pipe material description(s). <br /> <br />b. E-Verify: HB789 imposes E-Verify requirements on contractors who enter <br />into certain contracts with state agencies and local governments. The <br />legislation specifically prohibits governmental units from entering into certain <br />contracts “unless the contractor and the contractor’s subcontractors comply <br />with the requirements of Article 2 of Chapter 65 of the General Statues.” <br />(Article 2 of Chapter 65 establishes North Carolina’s E-Verify requirements <br />for private employers.) It is important to note that the verification requirement <br />applies to subcontractors as well as contractors. The new laws specifically <br />prohibit governmental units from entering into contracts with contractors who <br />have not (or their subcontractors have not) complied with E-Verify. Complete <br />the attached affidavit, and include it with your submittal. <br /> <br />c.
