In developing this <br /> year's plan, the following factors were taken into consideration: <br /> ii A Strategy to Address Future Growth in Student Enrollment <br /> • County Funding Plan <br /> • Commitment to Improve Conditions at Older Facilities <br /> The attached 2002-12 Capital Investment Plan outlines a balanced approach to address <br /> these issues over the next ten years. <br /> A Strategy to Address Future Growth in Student Enrollment <br /> Student enrollment is projected to increase over the next ten years another 2,950 <br /> students. The increase will occur in all grade levels but high school enrollment is <br /> expected to grow the most. Over the next ten years, elementary school enrollment is <br /> projected to increase 685, middle school enrollment increases 675, and high school <br /> enrollment increases 1,590. <br /> The approved 2001 Bond Referendum included funds to address the increase in <br /> elementary school enrollment. The increase in middle school enrollment becomes <br /> critical and exceeds the 107% level of service in 2007/08. High school increases are <br /> occurring now and projected to exceed the 110% level of service in 2003/04. <br /> The blueprint to address the growth in student enrollment is outlined in the following <br /> timeline for new facilities: <br />
