Under that particular plan, <br /> the Town would have scheduled additional time for the district's high school swim <br /> teams. <br /> After reviewing the plans, the Commissioners asked the CHCCS Board of <br /> Education to request full funding of the gym construction cost from the Town of <br /> Chapel Hill in lieu of accepting the proposal of dedicated swim time. Since that <br /> time, the Town Council has agreed to reimburse the district in three annual <br /> installments of$238,000 beginning in fiscal year 2002-03 for a total of $714,000. <br /> In addition, the Town has agreed to credit the school system $36,000 for plan <br /> review fees. <br /> November 6, 2001 -Voters approved the November 2001 bond referendum that <br /> included $12.8 million to complete Elementary#9. <br /> November 26, 2001 The Town of Chapel Hill approved a Special Use Permit <br /> for Elementary#9. <br /> December 11, 2001 — County Commissioners appropriate $235,000 of recently <br /> approved bond funds to cover three project components — construction bidding, <br /> pre-grading of the site and project contingency. <br />
