It is anticipated that we will see an increase in the number of COVID-19 hospitalizations being reported
as this metric will now include patients that are still hospitalized due to COVID-19 but are no longer
under isolation precautions. We will likely have a one-time increase on November 13th and then longer
term we may see a higher more sustained number of COVID-19 hospitalizations.
• Please note that NCDHHS is modifying the time that the data is pulled for the dashboard. As a result,
there will be a one-time artificial decrease in the number of tests, cases and deaths on November 13,
2020 as the data will cover 10 hours as opposed to the standard 24 hours. Future data will cover the
standard 24-hour period.

Upcoming Testing Events
• Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm – OCHD, Whitted Building, 300 West Tryon Street, Hillsborough, NC
27278

• NEW Daily Weekday Testing!
We will begin working with a new vendor, Optum, to increase our testing efforts in the county.
Beginning Monday, November 16, 2020, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (closed for a hour break for
lunch) - R7 Parking Lot, 725 Martin Luther King Blvd., Chapel Hill, NC 27514

• Wednesday, November 18, 2020, 11am – 3pm - Mt.
