Membrane and Flashing Adhesives: Shall be low VOC solvent based adhesives as provided by the <br />manufacturer unless otherwise requested and approved by the Designer. <br /> <br />C. Use membrane sheet flashing materials, membrane and flashing adhesives, fasteners, plates, pre- <br />molded pipe vent flashings, foam rods, metal termination bars, pre-fabricated inside and outside <br />corners, sealants, mastics, solvents, hot-air welding equipment, separation sheets/tape and other <br />materials specifically recommended/required by the membrane manufacturer and intended for use <br />with the membrane specified, existing substrate conditions observed, and application methods <br />specified. Minimum thickness of flashings shall match that of the specified membrane to which it <br />will be applied (Refer to Paragraph 2.02 A.1). Products shall be approved for inclusion in the <br />specified membrane manufacturer’s warranty. Exposed flashings, sealants, and other products <br />provided must match the color of the adjacent roof membrane on which they will be installed. <br /> <br />2.03 ADDITIONAL ROOF ACCESSORIES <br /> <br />A. Drain Clamping Ring Bolts: Replace existing bolts with new to match general size and type but <br />new bolts shall be stainless steel. <br /> <br />B. Parapet Wall Sleeve: Basis of Design Jay R. Smith Mfg. Co. Model No. 1730. Description: Cast <br />iron body with flashing clamp and adjustable wall flange. <br /> <br />C. Drain Nozzle/Lamb’s Tongue: Basis of Design Jay R. Smith Mfg. Co. Model No. 1770. <br />Description: Cast bronze body and flange. <br /> <br />D. Walk Tread: Use manufacturer-provided slip-resistant walk tread in yellow or gray. Walk treads <br />must be capable of being hot-air welded to the roof membrane. Minimum width of walk tread shall <br />be 30″. Walk tread material must be capable of being cut to size to accommodate existing roof <br />conditions. <br /> <br />E. Lap Cleaner: Shall be acetone and approved by the manufacturer. <br /> <br />F. Sealants (Exposed): Shall be low modulus, non-staining one-part urethane and of gun-grade <br />consistency. Sealant shall be easily workable and shall be capable of producing a smooth attractive <br />finish. For joints in vertical surfaces, provide ASTM C 920, Type S or M, Grade NS, Class 25, <br />Use NT. For joints in horizontal surfaces, provide ASTM C 920, Type S or M, Grade P, Class 25, <br />Use T. Where exposed, color shall be approved by Owner. Acceptable manufacturers/products <br />shall be Dynatrol I, by Pecora Corporation; or Sikaflex 1a, by Sika Corporation, or approved <br />equivalent. Make sure materials are compatible with substrates. Sealant used in any other location <br />shall have the type and color approved by the Owner. <br /> <br />G. Sealants (Concealed): For concealed sealants required for details, and not specifically provided by <br />or recommended by the roof system manufacturer, use butyl sealant (if tape sealant, minimum 1″ <br />wide and 1/8″ thick unless otherwise shown). <br /> <br />H.
