<br />014000.3 – QUALITY CONTROL <br /> <br />Project Manual for Whitted Building Roof Replacement <br />Orange County, Hillsborough, NC <br />Prepared by Atlas Engineering, Inc., 551-A Pylon Drive – Raleigh, NC 27606 <br />May 2022 <br />in the warranty setting the maximum response time to a warranty complaint by the Owner to 24 hours <br />for emergency conditions and five (5) working days for non-emergency conditions, unless otherwise <br />agreed upon by the Owner. Refer to specific sections of this specification for any additional warranty <br />requirements. <br /> <br />B. Install roofing systems to allow for issuance of manufacturer’s warranties as required by specific <br />sections of these specifications. <br /> <br />C. When specified in respective Specification Sections and/or required to obtain specified system <br />warranty, require the manufacturer to provide qualified personnel to observe field conditions, <br />conditions of surfaces and installation, quality of workmanship, as applicable, and to make appropriate <br />recommendations. A minimum of 3 visits to the site (plus 1 final/warranty inspection) by the roof <br />system manufacturer’s technical representative are required. Representatives of the manufacturer shall <br />submit written reports observations and recommendations during field services. A copy of the <br />manufacturer’s report must be provided to the Engineer within 2 days of receipt by the Contractor. <br /> <br />D. Should workmanship samples or specific system testing be required by the manufacturer issuing a <br />warranty, contractor shall provide such testing or sampling.
