P a g e 20 o f 2 3
Criterion 4 - Capacity of Applicant
encourages residents to find more environmentally ways to arrive
and spend time in this community gathering place.
26. Does your project also take
advantage of other funding
sources?
The overall building project will be the result of multiple funding
sources. The ArtsCenter is in the quiet phase of fund raising but
anticipate a more public campaign once TAC has shovels in the
ground. (Winter of 2022).
27. Would your proposed project
help you to take advantage of
funding from other sources
besides this grant in the future?
Yes, many of TAC’s funders are interested in how the organization
impacts the community. In the same fashion that Orange County
is interested in TAC’s work around social justice, many of TAC’s
funders are interested in how the organizations strive to impact
and protect the environment. As a community organization, TAC
holds a responsibility to be stewards of the environment. TAC
embraces the opportunity to bring more green initiatives into the
design of the building. Likewise, a new element of TAC’s
programming will offer patrons the opportunity to explore the
relationship of nature and art with indoor-outdoor connectivity
promoting interaction with the natural setting.
28. Please describe any other
aspect of your project that is
relevant to the efficient use of
grant funds:

29. Please describe any projects
that you have completed
successfully in the past which
are similar to the project you
are proposing:
While TAC has not completed a similar project, they are hiring
experts in the field. Their architects, EVOKE have designed similar
projects and hold expertise in the understanding of green
construction and initiatives. The project engineers, Coulter Jewell
Thames, PA. have decades worth of experience working in the
Carrboro community.
30. If you are proposing to
collaborate with other
organizations on this project,
please briefly describe their
relevant experience to the
project and/or the target
population:

31. Please describe any other
relevant expertise or capacity
to carry out the project in your
application:

DocuSign Envelope ID: FC54AC26-7897-4270-8EA1-D754CD59EA76
