Blythe, ext 2130 <br /> TELEPHONE NUMBERS: <br /> Hillsborough 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill 968-4501 <br /> Durham 688-7331 <br /> Mebane 336-227-2031 <br /> PURPOSE: To consider two changes in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar <br /> for year 2002. <br /> BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County <br /> Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in <br /> the Regular Meeting Schedule. The beginning time for the April 3rd meeting will be changed <br /> from 7:30 to 6:30 p.m. A special meeting will be scheduled for April 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the <br /> Government Services Center in Hillsborough for the purpose of holding a closed session "to <br /> consider the qualifications, competence, character, fitness, conditions of appointment, or <br /> conditions of initial employment of an individual public officer or employee or prospective public <br /> officer or employee" NCGS § 143-318.11(a)(6). <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular <br /> meeting calendar by changing the beginning time of the April 3`d meeting to 6:30 and to <br /> schedule a special meeting for April 4" at 7:30 p.m. at the Government Services Center in <br /> Hillsborough for the purpose of holding a closed session "to consider the qualifications, <br /> competence, character, fitness, conditions of appointment, or conditions of initial employment of <br /> an individual public officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee" NCGS § 143- <br /> 318.11(a)(6). <br />
