2 <br /> The acceptance of this grant award will enable the Emergency Management Division of Orange <br /> County Emergency Services to acquire, up fit, and equip a mobile command trailer using grant <br /> funding. This mobile command trailer will provide local first responders and public safety <br /> personnel a safe and secure workspace to manage long duration emergencies effectively while <br /> in harsh or austere outdoor conditions. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impact associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board accept this grant and <br /> authorize the Manager to sign all grant documents necessary to execute the award between the <br /> County and the North Carolina Emergency Management Division. <br />
