8 <br /> Orange County has hosted two radio summits to date utilizing Article 46 funds.These events have <br /> been held in partnership with WCHL and have covered topics such as Economic Development,Tourism, <br /> the Arts, Workforce Development, Social Justice, Affordable Housing and Public Transportation. <br /> K. Farm Application —to identify OC Farms <br /> Total Budgeted Article 46 Funding Amount: $3,600 <br /> The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services maintains a website <br /> https://www.visitncfarmstoday.com/ listing the counties participating in the app. Currently, there are <br /> more than 80 communities and 4 state farmers' markets.The NCDA&CS also shares posts on social <br /> media, pays for advertising to promote the app and provides promotional materials to share with the <br /> assets. <br /> • The Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau promotes the Visit NC Farms mobile app on their <br /> social media channels as well as their Agritourism page on their website <br /> https://www.visitchapelhill.org/agritourism/ <br /> • There are just under 100 agricultural related businesses listed on the Visit NC Farms mobile app <br /> for Orange County including farms, restaurants, local shops, farmers markets and farm stays. <br /> Users of the app can also search for special events and build an itinerary. <br /> • To keep users engaged, several push notifications are sent monthly announcing Orange County <br /> events, seasonal products, suggested itineraries and more. 25 notifications were sent in 2021 <br /> • 12 new listings (assets) and 10 new events were added in 2021. <br /> 0 Orange County placed in the top 5 for users in 2021 in January, March, May and October <br /> • The most recent analytics report (February 2022) showed 73 push notification opens and 325 <br /> asset views for Orange County. Note: this changes monthly and is dependent upon the number <br /> of push notifications sent among other factors. <br /> L. Durham Technical Community College <br /> Durham Tech Promise Scholarship <br /> Total Budgeted Article 46 Funding Amount: $1,050,000 <br /> Durham Tech Promise offers recent high school graduates in Orange County up to $1,000 in <br /> scholarships each year for two years. <br /> Credit Programs:To be eligible, in-state students must enroll in at least six credit hours within a <br /> year after completing a high school diploma or high school equivalency. Due to the higher cost of out-of- <br /> state tuition, out-of-state students do not have a credit hour requirement. Disbursements are made in <br /> $500 payments per semester. <br /> Non-credit(Continuing Education) Programs:To be eligible, students must enroll in one of <br /> the programs listed below within a year after completing a high school diploma or high school <br /> equivalency. Disbursement will cover tuition and fees up to $1,000 per year <br />
