The hub invites people of all types to gather and experience <br /> the visual, performing, and literary arts, and strives to be a community arts space that is safe, <br /> welcoming, and accessible for all people. Website: https://artsorange.org/enomill/ <br /> Eno Arts Mill: <br /> • Of the 17 artists who rent studio space for their arts businesses, six (35%) are artists-of-color, <br /> and 3 (18%) are persons with disabilities. <br /> • It has hosted 1,100 people at our First Friday openings since opening in October. <br /> • In the first three months of operations saw$10,849 in gallery sales. <br /> • It has hosted 89 people for classes at the mill since starting classes in November. <br /> • The gallery has exhibited the work of 138 local artists since opening in October. <br /> • The gross revenue generated since opening in October(rent, gallery sales, event rentals, <br /> classes): $72,909 <br /> • The Hub has paid 55 artists $26,327 for work sold and services related to Eno Mill programs. <br /> H. Breeze Farm <br /> Total Budgeted Article 46 Funding Amount: $30,000 <br /> The Breeze Farm incubator, started in 2008 in Orange County, NC, is located approximately six miles <br /> northeast of Hillsborough at 4909 Walnut Grove Church Road, Hurdle Mills, NC 27541. It provides a <br /> place for people interested in learning to farm, but without a place to do so. It also provides tools, <br /> infrastructure, and services as part of the lease which minimizes the start-up capital need to start a small <br /> farm.This arrangement allows aspiring farmers to determine whether farming is really something they <br /> want to pursue without the worry of having to pay back loans. <br /> I. Agriculture Summit <br /> Total Budgeted Article 46 Funding Amount: $27,500 <br /> Orange County has been holding annual Agricultural Summits since 1998 which continue to be a <br /> source of information, resources for farmers, agricultural diversity and an event to discuss a wide <br /> range of topics with other farmers, local government elected officials, agriculture vendors, and experts <br /> in the field. <br /> Each year a topic or theme is chosen that is geared toward current interests, barriers, new resources <br /> and recent events. It is an all-day event and included lunch using local resources. <br /> Local producers, agricultural product vendors, agricultural agencies, government agricultural <br /> departments and field experts are provided with space and invited to be onsite to offer information <br /> and suggestions regarding their products or knowledge. <br /> J.
