45 <br /> Orange County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council Meeting <br /> Friday,April 1,2022 (12:00noon—2:00pm) <br /> Virtual Zoom Meeting <br /> Proposed Minutes <br /> Attendees: Sharron Hinton, Carol McClelland,Tami Pfeifer,Amanda Farris,Amy Fowler,Bernard <br /> Miles, Gayane Chambless, Tina Sykes,Joy Clark, Susan Worley, Pamela Weiden, Lateef Mitchell, <br /> LaDanna Strong, Jon Berkeley, Kayla Merkel, Megan Raymond, Val Hanson, Patricia Cardoso, Eddie <br /> Crews, Rebekah Rapoza(*Members in bold) <br /> Absent: Sherita Cobb, Crista Collazo, Blair Nell, Donna King, Charlos Banks <br /> Excused: Luke Dennis, Hathaway Pendergrass <br /> Welcome <br /> The meeting opened with a welcome from Chair, Sharron Hinton and introductions. <br /> Minutes Review and Approval <br /> The Council reviewed the minutes from February 2022. Gayane Chambless motioned for minutes to be <br /> approved and was seconded by Amy Fowler. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The Council reviewed the minutes from March 2022. Amy Fowler motioned for minutes to be approved <br /> and was seconded by Carol McClelland. Gayane Chambless abstained from voting since she wasn't <br /> present at the meeting. Motion carried. <br /> JCPC Business <br /> Nominating Committee— <br /> Q: Can someone who already holds chair be on the Nomination Committee? <br /> A:No, unless there is something specifically written in the bylaws that will not preclude you from that. <br /> Carol McClelland and Sharon Hinton offer to join the Nominating Committee. <br /> Membership Review—Several positions are open: School Superintendent or designee, Chief of Police or <br /> designee, Director Local Management Entity/Managed Care Organization(LME/MCO), or designee, <br /> Member of the Faith Community, 2 young people under the age of 21, Representative from Parks and <br /> Recreation, also some County Commissioner appointees. <br /> Q: Cardinal should switch over to Alliance? <br /> A: Yes <br /> Q: Do we know who the Alliance Community person is? <br /> A: Amy Fowler will reach out to Rob Robinson or Veronica for direction. <br /> Q: When it comes to the Faith Community, have we ever had representation? If so, do we <br /> remember what community and does anybody have any recommendations? <br /> A: There has been a local Pastor from Hillsborough,Pastor Kysha Thompson. Sharon Hinton will reach <br /> out to her to see if she is interested. <br /> Sharon Hinton requests Carol McClelland and herself review the open positions and requests if any <br /> attendees have recommendations to please pass information along to them. <br />
