5 <br /> community, and wish him well in his retirement. <br /> This the 3rd day of May, 2022. <br /> Renee Price, Chair <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner McKee, to <br /> approve the Proclamation and authorize the Chair to sign it. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Commissioner Fowler read the following proclamation: <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING AND HONORING <br /> PAUL MOSS <br /> RETIRING BATTALION CHIEF, CHAPEL HILL FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, in 1997, Mr. Paul Moss embarked on a career of public service by joining the <br /> Chapel Hill Fire Department as a full-time firefighter; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Moss made numerous contributions to the Chapel Hill Fire Department and <br /> ultimately reached the rank of Battalion Chief; and <br /> WHEREAS, throughout his professional career, Paul Moss helped advance the Chapel Hill Fire <br /> Department by serving in a variety of roles including, Captain, USAR Task Force Leader and <br /> ultimately as a Battalion Chief; and <br /> WHEREAS, through his dedication and service to the residents of Chapel Hill and the greater <br /> Orange County community, Mr. Moss directly contributed to creating a safer and more resilient <br /> Orange County; and <br /> WHEREAS, Paul Moss is retiring from the Chapel Hill Fire Department after serving the <br /> residents and visitors of Orange County for twenty-four years; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, we, the Orange County Board of Commissioners, do hereby recognize <br /> and express deep appreciation for the invaluable service of Paul Moss to the Orange County <br /> community, and wish him well in his retirement. <br /> This the 3rd day of May, 2022. <br />
