6 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 Renee Price, Chair <br /> 3 Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> 4 <br /> 5 A motion was made by Commissioner Fowler, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton, to <br /> 6 approve the Proclamation and authorize the Chair to sign it. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Chair Price read the following proclamation: <br /> 11 <br /> 12 ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> 13 <br /> 14 PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING AND HONORING <br /> 15 SCOTT TROMBLEY <br /> 16 RETIRING CAPTAIN, CARRBORO FIRE-RESCUE DEPARTMENT <br /> 17 <br /> 18 <br /> 19 WHEREAS, in 1995, Mr. Scott Trombley embarked on a career of public service by joining the <br /> 20 Carrboro Fire-Rescue Department as a full-time firefighter; and <br /> 21 <br /> 22 WHEREAS, Mr. Trombley made numerous contributions to the Carrboro Fire-Rescue <br /> 23 Department and ultimately reached the rank of Captain; and <br /> 24 <br /> 25 WHEREAS, throughout his professional career, Captain Trombley helped advance the Carrboro <br /> 26 Fire-Rescue Department by creating and assisting with the implementation of a Community Risk <br /> 27 Reduction program for the Carrboro Fire-Rescue Department; and <br /> 28 <br /> 29 WHEREAS, through his dedication and service to the residents of Carrboro and the greater <br /> 30 Orange County community, Scott Trombley directly contributed to creating a more safe and <br /> 31 resilient Orange County; and <br /> 32 <br /> 33 WHEREAS, Captain Scott Trombley is retiring from the Carrboro Fire-Rescue Department after <br /> 34 serving the residents and visitors of Orange County for twenty-six years; <br /> 35 <br /> 36 NOW, THEREFORE, we, the Orange County Board of Commissioners, do hereby recognize <br /> 37 and express deep appreciation for the invaluable service of Scott Trombley to the Orange <br /> 38 County community, and wish him well in his retirement. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 This the 3rd day of May, 2022. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Renee Price, Chair <br /> 45 Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> 46 <br /> 47 A motion was made by Chair Price, seconded by Commissioner Bedford, to approve the <br /> 48 Proclamation and authorize the Chair to sign it. <br /> 49 <br /> 50 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />
