14 <br /> 1 • Held an in-person Transit Summit for PSC members to discuss core values and visions <br /> 2 for the fiscally constrained plan and learned of aspirational future projects (July 2021) <br /> 3 • Received draft recommended network and plan as well as draft conceptual vision map <br /> 4 for transit service provider feedback and scheduling of future PSC meetings (October <br /> 5 2021) <br /> 6 • Held PSC Work Session #1 to look at the final recommended network and conceptual <br /> 7 vision map with purpose of permitting project management team to begin round two of <br /> 8 public outreach (January 2022) <br /> 9 • Created public outreach opportunities with a second round of surveying (where over <br /> 10 1,000 surveys were collected) and two focus groups (held on February 8th and February <br /> 11 1611) that included local stakeholders (February 2022) <br /> 12 • Held PSC Work Session #2 to look at the feedback received from public outreach and <br /> 13 assess the draft network, which resulted in a request to provide check-in presentations <br /> 14 to the local elected boards (March 2022) <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Key takeaways from the public outreach include the overall approval of projects as they were <br /> 17 outlined and an agreement of the need for more regional projects in the future. After discussing <br /> 18 the need to wait for the Transit Plan Governance Study to conclude prior to the Transit Plan <br /> 19 Update's adoption, the PSC advised the project management team to begin scheduling check-in <br /> 20 meetings with the municipalities in the local government as well as the BOCC. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Remaining Consultant Deliverables — Next Steps <br /> 23 Attachment 1 is a memo from Renaissance Planning that, among other items, outlines its <br /> 24 remaining work and next steps of the Transit Plan Update. Generally, these items include: <br /> 25 • Additional check-in meetings with Carrboro, Chapel Hill, and Hillsborough; <br /> 26 • Final PSC Work Session; and <br /> 27 • Delivery of a final report to the Orange County staff team. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Adoption Process <br /> 30 The 2017 Orange County Transit Plan was adopted by the Orange County BOCC on April 27, <br /> 31 2017 before it was adopted by DCHC MPO and the GoTriangle Board of Trustees on April 28, <br /> 32 2017.
