45 <br /> 1 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Fowler, to <br /> 2 approve the resolution. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Laurie Paolicelli of the Orange County Visitor's Bureau thanked the Board for their <br /> 7 support of the resolution. She said that Lee Pavao talked about the importance of legacy at the <br /> 8 end of his life. She said Lee Pavao left a legacy of the gift of his time and service and belief in <br /> 9 government. She said Lee Pavao had a love of Orange County that he wore proudly. She said <br /> 10 he had a love of seniors and visitors. She said that it wasn't just love, it was also smart <br /> 11 economic development for visitors to come to Orange County and spend money. She said it <br /> 12 gives her pride and honor to keep his legacy alive. She introduced Lee Pavao's partner Cathy <br /> 13 Porter. <br /> 14 Cathy Porter said thank you on behalf of the family and that it was nice for Lee Pavao to <br /> 15 be remembered. <br /> 16 Chair Price said that Lee Pavao was a wonderful person with a contagious energy, and <br /> 17 that he brought magic to a room. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 7. Consent Agenda <br /> 23 <br /> 24 • Removal of Any Items from Consent Agenda <br /> 25 • Approval of Remaining Consent Agenda <br /> 26 • Discussion and Approval of the Items Removed from the Consent Agenda <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Commissioner Richards said she would like to pull item 8-h for discussion. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton, to <br /> 31 approve the remaining consent agenda. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 34 <br /> 35 a. Minutes <br /> 36 The Board will consider corrections and/or approval of the draft minutes for the April 5, 2022 <br /> 37 and April 12, 2022 Board of County Commissioners meetings. <br /> 38 b. Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> 39 The Board will consider adoption of a resolution to release motor vehicle property tax values for <br /> 40 seven taxpayers with a total of seven bills that will result in a reduction of revenue. <br /> 41 c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> 42 The Board will consider adoption of a resolution to release property tax values for four taxpayers <br /> 43 with a total of six bills that will result in a reduction of revenue. <br /> 44 d. Application for Property Tax Exemption/Exclusion <br /> 45 The Board will consider one untimely application for exemption/exclusion from ad valorem <br /> 46 taxation for one bill for the 2021 tax year. <br /> 47 e. Older Americans Month Proclamation <br /> 48 The Board will consider approving a proclamation joining Federal and State governments in <br /> 49 designating the month of May as Older Americans Month and a time to honor older adults for <br /> 50 their contributions to the community. <br />
