Some important aspects of social <br /> participation are: <br /> • Accessibility, affordability,and range of events . Promotion and awareness of programs;and <br /> and programs; <br /> • Type and location of facilities and community ' Reaching out to those who may be isolated. <br /> integration; <br /> Goal 4: Promote diverse and accessible opportunities for participation and engagement of older <br /> adults age 55+. <br /> OBJECTIVE <br /> STRATEGY 4.1.1 <br /> INDICATORS RESPONSIBLE <br /> 4.1.1a Senior Centers'programming is intentionally offered with diversity,accessibility, OCDOA <br /> and inclusiveness,including but not limited to cultural awareness,printed and <br /> verbal information in Spanish,Mandarin,Karen,Burmese,and other emerging <br /> priority languages as applicable,transportation,and programs offered both <br /> in-person and virtually as feasible. <br /> 4.1.1b Develop neurodivergent programming(e.g.,people with learning differences) OCDOA,ARC of OC,Residential Services,Inc.(RSI),OC <br /> with assistance from partner organizations. Library,University of North Carolina TEACCH Autism <br /> Program <br /> STRATEGY 4.1.2 <br /> INDICATORS RESPONSIBLE <br /> 4.1.2a Additional programming for older adults is made available within the Senior OCDOA,OC Library <br /> Centers and in other settings;at least one"pop-up"event per quarter is offered <br /> at a community location other than a Senior Center. <br /> 4.1.2b Senior centers add at least one additional program assistant,resources, OCDOA <br /> and materials to handle increased programming as indicated by increased <br /> participation numbers and the number of programs offered. <br /> Orange County Master Aging Plan 33 <br />
