12 <br /> Key Factors of Realignment <br /> • The State is not mandating 8 Boards. Realignment does not necessarily mean one specific <br /> number of local workforce boards will be the result. <br /> • Funding for rural counties will not be impacted by any Realignment changes. All counties receive <br /> funds based on established US DOL formulas. <br /> • There will still be local control of all workforce boards and NCWorks Career Centers. <br /> • We do not foresee massive layoffs with local workforce staff.
