Her first term expired on 6/30/2003, and, at that time,
she wrote that she would be out of the state for several months and that the BOCC should fill
her position. Since no one has been found to replace her, staff contacted her recently and she
expressed interest in being reappointed.
Also, the second three-year term of Mr. H. Coleman Day, Vice-Chair, ETJ position, expired
6/30/03. Mr. Day has continued to serve in his position until a replacement is appointed.
Advertising has been done with only one eligible application received, i.e., Mr. Peter Strongoli,
302 Azalea Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27517, an ETJ resident.
If the BOCC wishes for Mr. Day to continue to serve, the Chapel Hill Town Clerk's office has
requested a memo or letter indicating same.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making appointments to the Chapel Hill Planning Board
as the BOCC may desire.
