ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> AGENDA <br /> BOCC Budget& Capital Investment Plan Public Hearing & Work Session <br /> June 2, 2022 <br /> Meeting—7:00 pm <br /> Whitted Meeting Room <br /> 300 West Tryon Street <br /> Hillsborough,NC 27278 <br /> The Board of Commissioners is conducting a Budget & Capital Investment Plan (CIP) <br /> Public Hearing, followed by a Work Session, on June 2, 2022. Members of the Board of <br /> Commissioners will be in-person in the Whitted Meeting Room, and the public is invited <br /> to attend the meeting. <br /> There are three methods for public comment for the Budget/CIP Public Hearing portion of <br /> the meeting: <br /> • Members of the public can sign up to speak at Whitted as part of the public hearing. <br /> • Members of the public can be present at the Orange County Animal Services Center <br /> Meeting Room at 1601 Eubanks Road, Chapel Hill, NC and sign up to speak via <br /> Zoom as part of the public hearing. (Please note that the work session portion of the <br /> meeting that follows the public hearing will not be available via Zoom at the Orange <br /> County Animal Services Center.) <br /> • Members of the public can provide written comments by submitting them to the <br /> ocbocckoran eg countync.gov email address. <br /> There will not be an opportunity for members of the public to speak as part of the work <br /> session portion of the meeting as the Board does not receive public comments during work <br /> sessions. Members of the public may provide written comments by submitting them to the <br /> ocbocckoran e�ync.gov email address. <br /> As in prior meetings, members of the public will be able to view and listen to the meeting <br /> via live streaming video at oran eg couni nc.gov/967/Meeting-Videos and on Orange <br /> County Gov-TV on channels 1301 or 97.6 (Spectrum Cable). <br /> Compliance with the"Americans with Disabilities Act" -Interpreter services and/or special sound <br /> equipment are available on request. Call the County Clerk's Office at(919)245-2130. If you are disabled <br /> and need assistance with reasonable accommodations,contact the ADA Coordinator in the County <br /> Manager's Office at(919)245-2300 or TDD#919-644-3045. <br /> 1. Opening Remarks <br /> PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> The Board of Commissioners pledges its respect to all present. The Board asks those attending this <br /> meeting to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous manner toward each other, county staff <br /> and the commissioners.At any time should a member of the Board or the public fail to observe this <br /> charge, the Chair will take steps to restore order and decorum. Should it become impossible to <br /> restore order and continue the meeting, the Chair will recess the meeting until such time that a <br /> genuine commitment to this public charge is observed. The BOCC asks that all electronic devices <br /> such as cell phones,pagers, and computers should please be turned off or set to silent/vibrate. <br /> Please be kind to everyone. <br />
