The proposed rezoning is: <br /> FROM: R-1 (Rural Residential) <br /> TO: 1-2 (Medium Industrial) <br /> BACKGROUND: The basic facts concerning this application (Attachment 1) are as follows: <br /> Applicant: Irwin Properties, LLC <br /> 346 Elizabeth Brady Road <br /> Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br /> Parcel Information: A. Parcel and Size: PIN 9844-88-7024. An approximately 2.32 acre <br /> parcel; <br /> B. Township: Cheeks; <br /> C. Current Zoning: Rural Residential (R-1); Major Transportation <br /> Corridor (MTC) Overlay District; Efland Village Overlay District; <br /> and Upper Eno Protected Watershed Overlay District. District; <br /> D. Requested Zoning: Medium Industrial (1-2); no amendments to <br /> the three existing overlay districts are proposed. <br /> E. Future Land Use Map (FLUM) Designation: Commercial- <br /> Industrial Transition Activity Node (CITAN) (see map in <br /> Attachment 2) <br />
