Tryon Street, Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Campus Wide Fiber and Alternate A <br /> <br />Please see updates based on a site visit conducted by Jim Northrup, Orange County Chief <br />Information Officer, with a potential bidder on December 3, 2020. <br /> <br />Potential fiber paths along 131 W. Margaret Lane and 300 W. Tryon Street: <br /> <br />The IT and the Facilities department came to the conclusion that there are 2” – 4” conduits partially <br />occupied in a handhold marked CATV along to the east side of Margaret Lane-West Campus <br />entrance. For example, the NE corner of the property. These conduits enter the West Campus <br />Office Building below grade on the east wall into and above the ceiling area of Floor 0 where there <br />are pull boxes and continue from said pull boxes on to the 3rd floor Data Center. <br /> <br />Important Reminders: <br /> <br />Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00 pm on December 18, 2020 in the office of <br />Orange County Financial/Administrative Services, 405 Meadowlands Drive, Hillsborough, NC <br />27278, Attn: Jovana Amaro, Purchasing Agent. <br /> <br />Please be aware that there is not a public bid opening scheduled for this solicitation. A bid <br />tabulations file will be sent on December 22, 2020 to all the firms that participated in the mandatory <br />pre-submittal virtual conference on November 13, 2020. <br /> <br />Critical updated information may be included in Addenda to this RFP. It is important that all <br />Vendors proposing on this RFP periodically check the State’s IPS website and Orange County’s <br />website for any Addenda that may be issued prior to the bid opening date.
