Attachment 1 <br /> 3 <br /> A motion was made by Council Member Haven-O'Donnell,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nowell that the following resolution be approved. <br /> A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE SCHOOLS ADEQUATE PUBLIC FACILITIES <br /> TECHNICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (SAPFOTAC)2022 REPORT <br /> WHEREAS,the Town has had a longstanding interest in the success and excellence of the <br /> Chapel Hill—Carrboro City Schools; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Town has participated in the development and implementation of the schools <br /> adequate public facilities ordinance provisions since 2003; and <br /> WHEREAS,the annual technical advisory committee report has been prepared and distributed <br /> for review. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Carrboro <br /> accepts the report. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of <br /> Carrboro wishes to add the following comments given at the April 12,2022 Town Council <br /> meeting. These comments include: 1) The need for reserving elementary school site at the <br /> Greene Tract because projected demand for facilities is longer than 10 years out,2) School <br /> system awareness of the Town of Carrboro's Climate Action Plans,how they relate to <br /> transportation choices, and which might encourage re-districting so families could be within <br /> school walk zones, and 3)The Pre-K program and whether students should be included in the S <br /> APFO membership and what discussions have occurred in the past. <br /> This the 12th day of April in the year 2022. <br /> The motion passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Mayor Pro Tem Susan Romaine, Council Member Barbara Foushee, Council <br /> Member Randee Haven-O'Donnell, Council Member Danny Nowell, Council Member <br /> Sammy Slade <br />
