The Sheriff's Office has received a one-time grant from NC Department of Public Safety <br /> for$84,370 to be used for expenses incurred in enforcing the laws of the state and carrying <br /> out other duties set by law. The Sheriff's Office will use this funding to purchase needed, <br /> but unbudgeted, medical kits. The County will close on the sale of Series 2022 General Obligation Bonds for Schools on <br /> June 2, 2022. This budget amendment provides for the Cost of Issuance and Underwriter's <br /> Discount (expenses) related to the Series 2022 General Obligation Bonds financing <br /> package of $303,600 in the General Fund to be included in the overall Debt Service <br /> budgeted expenditures, and provides for the receipt of the financing proceeds to cover the <br /> cost of these expenditures in the General Fund. <br /> 8. The County closed on the sale of Series 2022 A&B Limited Obligation Bonds for Schools <br /> and County projects on May 11, 2022. This budget amendment provides for the Cost of <br /> Issuance and Underwriter's Discount (expenses) related to the Series 2022 A&B Limited <br /> Obligation Bonds financing package of$287,800 in the General Fund to be included in the <br /> overall Debt Service budgeted expenditures, and provides for the receipt of the financing <br /> proceeds to cover the cost of these expenditures in the General Fund. <br />
