3 <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, <br /> gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> Board of County Commissioners <br /> 4. The Clerk to the Board of Commissioners requests to transfer $1,455 from the Board of <br /> County Commissioners Contingency in order to pay for travel and training expenses for <br /> Commissioners. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal associated <br /> with this item. <br /> Criminal Justice Resource Department (CJRD) <br /> 5. The NC Department of Public Safety has awarded the Orange County Local Reentry <br /> Council (LRC) in the CJRD new funds in the amount of $25,000. These direct funds have <br /> been deposited pursuant to a legislative mandate in NC Senate Bill 105. These funds are <br /> to be used to provide additional support services to LRC clients.
