30. If you are proposing to
collaborate with other
organizations on this project,
please briefly describe their
relevant experience to the
project and/or the target
population:
ERS of NC has worked on numerous projects related to the objectives of
this project. This includes the E-Conservation Home Assessment and
Retrofit Program through North Carolina State University, collaborations
from the N.C. Weatherization Assistance Program and the current LMI
Housing Audit Upgrade Project through the NC A&T State University
Center for Energy Research and Technology. All these projects involve
making energy efficiency more accessible to low-income homes and
incorporating an energy education element to further help residents
reduce their energy usage. See the ERS box in the Collaborators section
for more information.

Enpira is a regular collaborator with ERS and NCSEA in energy equity -
focused projects. In addition to being a partner in the aforementioned E -
Conservation and LMI Housing Audit Upgrade projects, Enpira was part
of the U.S. Department of Energy-funded Powering Energy Efficiency
and Impacts Framework (PEEIF) project that focused on enhancing the
efficiency of energy services delivered to low-income households in
northeastern North Carolina. Enpira has also been working with NCSEA
to carry out energy analysis of services provided by NCWAP to measure
impacts and recommend best practices. See the Enpira box in the
Collaborators section for more information.
Tamara Sanders offers close relationships with members of her
neighborhood that will be valuable in engaging the residents so that they
are able to apply for the retrofit services and receive energy education
through the events and materials that are offered.
Central Piedmont Community Action provides NCWAP-funded
weatherization to low-income residents in Orange County and is
currently working with NCSEA and Enpira as part of the second iteration
of the NCWAP EE Project.
The Jackson Center engages with historically-Black neighborhoods in
Orange County and will add a trusted partner to the team which will be
integral in helping the team organize energy education events and using
its connections to extend impacts beyond the neighborhood of focus.

31. Please describe any other
relevant expertise or capacity
to carry out the project in your
application:
The project team has a depth of resources that can be used to support the
project. NCSEA keeps an archive of data and reports related to energy
equity and has a team of data analysts, including a Geographic
Information Systems (GIS) specialist.

Criterion 5 - Local Economic Development

DocuSign Envelope ID: 05316BF7-95C7-4D54-82D9-7EBD5926DA4D
