- Carrying out data analysis using residential energy usage data to
determine energy savings due to the home energy upgrades
- Conducting surveys to evaluate resident experience and add to
project findings

NCSEA and Enpira are also working with the N.C. Weatherization
Assistance Program (NCWAP) to evaluate the program and recommend
best practices that will increase impacts for low-income residents. This
work involves:

- Collaborate with community action agencies to identify pain
points and educate them on their EE impacts
- Carry out energy use analysis with Enpira to determine dollars
saved, CO2 reductions, etc.
- Make recommendations to the new program administrative
software soon to be launched
- Work with utilities to collect energy use data to be used for
analysis
- Explore ways to integrate NCWAP services with other
community program offerings to better serve residents
- Make recommendations to improve accuracy/security of data
and to standardize program practices

Other relevant experience includes:
- Collaborating with Duke Energy to design energy efficiency
program accessible to low-income communities
- Work with electric cooperatives throughout the Southeast to
promote energy efficiency programs inclusive to low-income
communities; this work includes data analytics, implementing
marketing campaigns, creating educational materials and talking
with residents in the field to learn their perceptions of utility-
offered programs
- NCSEA and Enpira worked on the U.S. Department of Energy-
funded Powering Energy Efficiency and Impacts Framework
(PEEIF) project. The two partners played pivotal roles in the
project, which focused on developing a geospatial database to be
used by government entities and utilities to enhance the
efficiency of energy services delivered to low-income
households in a five-county region of northeastern North
Carolina. NCSEA contributed by facilitating partnerships to
bolster data-sharing practices used to increase the efficacy of the
database and Enpira carried out energy use data analysis.
